Mag 250 or 254 IPTV questions

Digging into options for IPTV. Currently have a Roku 3 and XMBC. Really want an option for EPG. Would Mag 250 or 254 be the best option? If so does any service have the catch up option? Also can one get other p$ with a mag 250? I have been reading a lot but it seems everyone has different options. What do you guys have the works very well? Pm me if there are any suggestions.

whats the difference with the mag 250 and the 254?

are they the same? is the mag 250 micro the same as the 250?
