I've had my nfusion HD receiver down for a while now and I just fired it back up again looking for some new programing. I bought a private code from someone and entered all my information in and I can't seem to get NOI to kick in. I get the snowy screen with server in green but can't get it past that where it goes into the count down. Also on the satellite setup menu all LNB's are showing good signal strength but zero on the quality. Anyone got any ideas what the problem could be? What am i doing wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Glatt

Very simply in network change your Gateway setting to your IP address!

I wish i could say that worked but it didn't. I can tell you I went to cmd and I pinged my nfusion from my computer so the nfusion is online. I try changing the gateway to the IP address as you suggested on the nfusion and it didn't help unless i read instructions wrong. I also went into my router device list and see the nfusion as being online. The NOI is 1.31a I would hope this is the correct program.

your receiver can't work until you figure out why you have no quality. Do you have the jumper cable installed correctly?

could it be a faulty disc switch causing the problem? ill change that next

are you sure your dish is pointed correctly?

if my dish was not pointed correctly would I not have a signal? I got 96% on all 3 LNB's.
Everything worked fine in the spring and then I turned it off basically for the summer. I'm stumped.

When you changed your Gateway did you shut off the nfusion from the back for it to register?

yes I shut it off at the back of the receiver after changing the gateway to the IP. No change. I've got the IP address where it says gateway. And also where it say's IP i have the same ip as the gateway. I've reset the receiver several time with no change. I'm sure the dish is pointed correctly but I may have to see if i can find someone to recheck it as its a elliptical. Everything was good and running fine last spring. I'm stumped. I checked my cables as well as the jumper at the back and everything seems fine.

I believe signal just proves that your Lnbs work. Unless you have quality it's not going to work. I believe your dish has moved.

Riverman is right "S" means that you are connected to the LNB! "Q" is signal strength or Quality of Signal!
No Q and no TV.

I found a guy on Kijiji who sets up satellite dishes in my area. He said he will look at my dish Monday. Stay tuned as they say in TV land LOL and I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for all you comments and suggestions for now.

the guy advertises on Kijiji that he does all dishes including dish. I would think he would be sticking out his neck as well.

Did you answer the question, do you have "S" and "Q" both at 96%!

Thanks to all for your suggestions. I had a guy come check out my dish today and found that the nfusion HD i have is show. I hooked up my old viewsat and everything as far as signal and quality was good. time to shop for a new receiver. Any suggestions would be appreciated but no more nfusion or veiwsat.
