Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri will undergo random drug testing conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) ahead of their Nov. 22 pay-per-view bout.

According to Pacquiao’s camp, the testing will begin during both fighters’ training camps and will finish after the conclusion of the bout. The testing protocol calls for both fighters to furnish samples of blood or urine, anytime and anywhere. There is no maximum or minimum number of times a fighter can be tested. The news was originally reported by FightNetwork.com.

The only other time Pacquiao was involved with VADA testing was for his 2013 bout against Brandon Rios. While Pacquiao did pass all testing, Rios came up positive for a banned stimulant.

Drug testing was originally one of the many issue preventing a potential fight between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. The move by “Pac-Man” to utilize VADA could potentially show his willingness to submit to the blood testing Mayweather originally requested during fight negotiations in 2009.

It took him 4 years to clean himself, if he had agreed to the testing, we had already seen the fight of the century. Don't you think?
