i guess the only way one of these receivers to work is to have iks of some sort but i don't know which one to consider does any one have any suggestions?

This box isn't actually all bad, other than pvr not working it is actually pretty good, HD, doesn't get hot, no freezing, good epg for south. And yes you need iks private server for it to work.
