Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, dealing with two fractured transverse process in his back, is out Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, according to NFL.com.

Brandon Weeden will get his first start of the season, the website reports.
Romo, hurt in Monday's game against Washington, has stressed that this injury is not related to the disk surgery he had last December and is not a threat to end his season.
Weeden took all of the first-team snaps during the week with Romo unable to practice, and performed well after Romo left the game against Washington, completing 4-of-6 passes for 69 yards and a 25-yard touchdown pass to Jason Witten.
Weeden started 20 games in two seasons with the Cleveland Browns, posting a 5-15 record.
With Romo unable to take part in the offseason program, limited during training camp and not practicing on Wednesdays since Week 2, Weeden has received more work with the first-team offense than most backup quarterbacks.
