Hi all,

So I was referred from another forum.

I've recently dusted off the old Sonicview. I had the iHub never got it working back when I bought it.
I've got v2.2 and the proper bin file loaded to my receiver.

I get Network Adapter Connected.

I have an IKS provider and have entered the info correctly.

I've scanned 82 and 91. Set the local time.

I'm getting items in EPG and some sound to a few channels but no picture.

Currently it says DNS Fail in my Private Server 1 where I entered all my information.

I've pinged the server and it sent and received all 4 packets.

I'm stumped.........just run out of things to try and figure out why it's not working.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
jackburton

that's old firmware in the ihub, what bin are yiou running in the SV8000? The bin and firmware in iHub have to be thecorrect version or a mach. Seems to me the 2.2 is to old to work with PS bins. So let us know what bin is in the 8000.

Whoops. Sorry my iHub shows 4.12.
HD2028 is the bin in the receiver. At least that's what I loaded, I'll have to double check that's what's showing in the Version info.

That is the right bin file for it,dO you have your IP set for DHCP,cause DNS Fail means you are not connected to your internet

Yep, IP in receiver for Private Server 1 is set to DHCP.

192.168.1.70 was showing and when I checked my router it recoginized it as Wiznet.

So based on my limited understanding I believe so.

Well in that case all i can say is double check all your server settings cause one small mistake and you will not connect
Also a reboot with switch on back after sometimes will get it to connect

Ok, thanks.

Yeah, I've tried the switch reboot too.

I'm double-double checking with my provider as it seems like that has to be it.

Yes, sir. I do have the 8spk module installed and the 'External Module' menu in the receiver is detecting it.
I'm gonna try the domain name when I get home.

My IKS provider sent it to me this morning. I really hope that fixes it, otherwise I'm out of ideas.
