Question about OTA

I just read from a post in this section that you can hook up your fta reciever to a OTA antenna does this allow you to recieve more channels from the tower or something.any input is appreciated if so I have a nfusion HD receiver that I want to use

Ok because I read this post and started to wonder http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?83023-Need-help-to-setup-NFusion-HD-to-get-OTA so I just wanted to know why hook a fta reciever to a OTA antenna

For me it is just easier. With the OTA antenna hooked to the receiver, sat and OTA channels are in the same place. Instead of having to change the input on the TV.
