Got SERIAL CABLE EXT DB9M/F 3FT STRAIGHT BEIGE,much more convenient to connect svlan to receiver,I had two SV8K,but only one svlan,so one of these used for watch recorded programs.
Waiting for soldering kit from a friend and replace those two capacitors tomorrow, hope I could done it properly.

Spent 20 mins and replaced C24 and C10 capacitors for my two sonicview 8000HD,cost for capacitors are $3+tax,not really hard to do.I'm glad I did it myself.

Good job  ya got to love it when a good plan comes together...plus it makes you feel good doing it yourself not to mention the price you were able to do it for...wish I could do a little soldering but with the slight tremors I have in these hands makes it just about impossible...again glad you got it going.

I think that is one thing about forums that is lacking--you can't get one of the guys from here to drop by one evening and work together on a project that your hands can't handle. Or bounce ideas off each other real time over a beer (well, cup of tea for me and a cookie or two) while a burger is on the grill out back of the house.

I cut it right after I took the picture, the reason why that I kept them on the picture is I want to show people what I did,so they could have some idea before they do it.Phone or video instructions help a lot.
electrosonic... they have everything
