- The 2014 WWE Survivor Series Kickoff pre-show opens with Renee Young, Booker T, Alex Riley and Paul Heyman on the panel. We see fans entering the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The panel talks about tonight's main event as JBL, Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole make their way out. We go backstage to Tom Phillips in the social media lounge. Renee hypes Bad News Barrett's appearance for later. Riley hypes Fandango's return, which will be after these commercials.
Fandango vs. Justin Gabriel
Back from the break and Justin Gabriel is making his entrance. We get a spotlight on the ring as Lilian Garcia introduces Fandango and Rosa Mendes starts dancing. We see Fandango at the stage. He runs down into the ring and dances with Rosa. Fandango is wrestling with his shirt on and they lock up, going to the corner.
After back and forth, Fandango nails an elbow and sends Gabriel to the floor. Fandango drops Gabriel on the apron as Rosa applauds. Fandango brings it back in the ring for a 2 count. Fandango with more offense and a headlock. Gabriel comes back and drops Fandango with a kick. Gabriel with a moonsault for 2. Fandango turns it back around and nails the big leg drop from the top for the win.

- After the match, the spotlight hits as Rosa and Fandango dance.
- We get a hype video for Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt. The panel talks about the match and Heyman says he finds this one most intriguing. The panel talks about tonight's Fatal 4 Way match for the WWE Tag Team Titles. We go backstage to The Miz and Damien Sandow warming up. Miz says tonight is an important night for his brand. We go back to the panel for more talk on tonight's show.
- Bad News Barrett's music hits and out he comes tot he stage. After a five month absence, he's making his return on this monumental night. Barrett says he can feel the excitement in the air because everything is on the line tonight in the main event. Barrett reminds us of the stipulations for Team Cena vs. Team Authority. Barrett's afraid he's got some bad news for Cena. Barrett says we all know how petty and vindictive The Authority is so they're going to make Cena's life hell. Barrett has more bad news for The Authority. He says if they lose, WWE will positively flourish under a new era, the era of Bad News Barrett.
- AJ Lee is backstage with Tom Phillips talking about tonight's match against Nikki Bella. She says this is Survivor Series and the time for playing dress up is over. She's deathly serious about putting her title on the line and says play time is over.
- We go back to the panel after a lengthy video on Team Cena vs. Team Authority.
- Cesaro makes his way out and offers his support for Team Authority. He's interrupted by Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger. Zeb says they offer their support for Team Cena. He says Cesaro is brown-nosing and jokes about having his nose up Triple H's rear.
Cesaro vs. Jack Swagger
They lock up and Swagger slams Cesaro for a 1 count. Swagger gets a big "we the people" and they go back at it. Cesaro gets the upperhand and goes for the stomp but Swagger catches him and turns it into the Patriot Lock. They struggle and Cesaro sends Swagger to the floor. Swagger runs back in but gets sent into the ring post. Cesaro with a big German suplex.
Cesaro with more offense and a pin attempt. Cesaro hits a German but Swagger blocks the next. Cesaro counters and hits a big throw for another 2 count. Cesaro with shots to the head. Cesaro with another clothesline. Cesaro hits an elbow off the ropes for a 2 count. Swagger finally blocks and suplexes Cesaro. Swagger takes out the knee and slams Cesaro. Swagger goes for a Swagger Bomb but it's blocked. Swagger counters and goes for the Patriot Lock but Cesaro rolls through. Cesaro with two Germans. Swagger blocks the third and turns it into a Patriot Lock for the win.

- We see a limousine pull up outside and Vince McMahon steps out. Vince makes his way into the arena and that's it for the pre-show.
- The 2014 WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view kicks off with a video package for Team Cena vs. Team Authority. We're live from St. Louis as Michael Cole welcomes us.
- We go right to the ring and out comes Vince McMahon to a big pop.
Vince welcomes us. He says the word epic is thrown around a lot but tonight will truly be epic. He guaran-damn-tees tonight will be one we never forget. Here's one reason why... he introduces Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
Stephanie says she feels the love and thanks Vince for the welcome. She's not going to let him down tonight. Triple H gets the crowd to give it up for Vince and says he's the reason we're all here. Stephanie gets a "Vince" chant going. Vince says that's a load of crap, let's get the show moving. Vince introduces John Cena and out he comes to a mixed reaction. Vince says if Team Authority wins, Cena is personally responsible for the termination of his partners' contracts. He also reminds The Authority that they could lose power. Cena asks if The Authority will leave on their own or if he has to throw them out. Triple H says Cena won't be having a good holiday because of the other guys losing their livelihoods. Triple H goes on for a few minutes and then Stephanie talks. She says they will still be calling the shots from headquarters in Stamford, still running the show if Team Cena wins. She asks Vince to back that up and he says that's not exactly what he had in mind. Vince says they will still have their desk jobs but they will never have ay influence over the careers or personal lives of any WWE Superstar. Vince has arranged it to where only person can ever bring them back to power. Stephanie kisses up some more. Vince says he has so much confidence in The Authority winning tonight that the one person that can bring them back to power is John Cena. A small "yes!" chant starts and Cena smiles. Vince says that's how much faith he has in The Authority. Vince tells them to not let him down. Stephanie threatens to slap the smile off Cena's face. Cena says they will lose tonight and there's no chance in hell that he lets them back. Cena drops the mic and walks off as his music plays.
