If you missed last night's fight between Montreal's David Lemieux and Gabriel Rosado, you are unlucky! Lemieux (33 wins, 31 KO's) is emerging as the most serious threat to Gennadi Golovkin (31 wins, 29 KO's).

His performance last night against a tough and game Gabriel Rosado is one for the records. The two traded power punches through the night, especially in the 4th round at the Barclay Centre in Brooklyn. It almost resembled the Algieri-Provodnikov fight in that Rosa's face was a mess with his left eye practically closed. Lemieux pummelled Rosado to win by TKO in the 10th round. Rosado was as tough as a bloodied bull in the arena, as he absorbed incredible bombs throughout the night. Lemieux knows only to throw devastating left and right hooks and uppercuts. Most of his KO wins came before the 7th round.

At only 25 years old, and now holder of the NABF Middleweight title, David Lemieux is believed by those who witnessed his performance last night, to have what it takes to upset GGG (age 32) who must take on Martin Murray in February.

That fight would be a dream match up for boxing fans as both boxers are known to throw nothing but howitzers at their opponents. Lemieux has learned from his 2 consecutive losses in 2011 (against Marco Antonio Rubio and Joaquin Alcine).

Meanwhile, Jean Pascal, threw a right cross after the referee has called a halt to the fight, dropping Roberto Bolonti of Argentina who had to be taken out in a stretcher. No contest due to an accidental foul!

Good read... problem is.... you just cannot trade blows with GGG cuz he will take you out
with just one!! GGG loves you to trade with him. He knows you probably won't take him
out,,, but he will.
Would be good to watch though.

GGG is methodical and you are right...got the KO punch! But so does Lemieux, though!
There are two main things going for Lemieux...youth (he is 25) and speed. He throw a lot of combinations at rapid fire. It is how he has amassed 31 KO's. Actually, come to think of it ALL his wins are by KO!!! His record is marred by two consecutive losses to Rubio and Alcine when he was 23 years old. This boy is something to watch!
