Porsche has confirmed its driver lineup for next month’s TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The German manufacturer will again enter a pair of Porsche 911 RSRs under the Porsche North America banner as it seeks back-to-back class wins.

Fred Makowiecki, Joerg Bergemeister and newly appointed factory driver Earl Bamber will be in one car, with Nick Tandy, Patrick Pilet and Marc Lieb set to pilot the second GT Le Mans class entry.

Full-season drivers have yet to be announced, although it’s certain Lieb won’t contest the entire 10-round TUDOR Championship due to his LMP1 commitments in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Notably missing from the Daytona lineup are Patrick Long and Michael Christensen, who teamed with Bergmeister for class victory at the Twelve Hours of Sebring and ran as a full-season pairing in 2014.

Richard Lietz, was also a full-time driver for Porsche North America this year, is also not listed to drive Daytona.

Christensen, Makowiecki and Tandy have been in the running for drives in Porsche’s third 919 Hybrid at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and all tested the LMP1-H car for a second time this week at Motorland Aragon in Spain.

Porsche is not expected to announce its Le Mans LMP1 lineup until later this month.
