ok here is my situation...2 dreamlink hd t5 receivers hooked to legacy lnbs on 110 119 and 129 on 3 separate dishes...when I install 2 baff 4x1 switches ...the 2 receivers cut each other out when changing channels..I tried 2 chieta switches...same thing...tried one chieta and one baff same thing..the only way my setup works is one baff switch on one and one sw21 switch on the other leaving off 129...what can I do to get both working on all sats
Thanks

why using three separate dishes, and ecoda or zinwell 4x4 switch would do the job for two receivers, plus try posting the settings for each sat your pointing too also.....

Old style legacy LNB's need two inputs to the switch per satellite, a +13 and a +18 volt input, so for this to work (if you have an old legacy LNB) you need a switch with 6 inputs, SAT 1 +13V and +18V, SAT 2 +13V and +18V and SAT 3 +13V and +18V, then the switch can supply all transponders from all satellite to 4 (or more) receivers.
So I think you need a different switch.

ok ...I use 3 dishes because I live far in eastern Canada and I get better reception.. all on single lnb type ....lnb freq 11.250 and all on diseqc sw 1.0 119 port 1 110 port2 and 129 port 3...I even tried 110 port 1 and 119 port 2 129 port 3

One of these hummers may work.

well thank you ...now I see power inserter...hrmm where to plug it in...we are talking on top of a 3 story app dwelling...

The power goes up on the coax used for the #1 receiver, an in-line power inserter goes in-between the receiver and switch, the old style power inserter used on SW switches should not affect a FTA receiver that is in-line with it.
But if you can run a spare coax up to the switch then there would/should be no compatibility problems.

Also if the switch is going to be out in the weather, be sure to put it in a weather tight box, or get a switch rated for outdoor use.

no they don't
if they did an sw 21 would have 4 inputs

They work well on the same sat with( 2) 4x1 switches as soon as one receiver changes sats the other will freeze...if one receiver is off the other will work perfectly
Try using ports 1,2,3 on one diseqc; ports 4,3,2 on the second. i.g.
switch 1 switch 2
119 port 1 port 4
110 port 2 port 3
129 port 3 port 2

I think your thinking about the DP legacy's, they were a single satellite LNB but had a built in switch, so you could use both outputs to run 2 receivers, when they put up 110W they switched from the dish 300 to the dish 500 with dual DP legacy's, then two SW21's were used for more then one receiver.(they later came out with the DP twin LNB)
The real old style legacy's (no DP markings on the LNB) still needed an external SW21, but you don't see those very often, I have a few in the scrap pile....Somewhere...maybe.
I remember having to put up two dishes, a dish 500 for 110/119 and a dish300 for ether 148 or 65.5 depending where you lived, and an SW34 to run everything.

Maybe change the word old to pre-historic...lol

never used a dp lnb as bell never used them until last few years(dpp)
in pic below all are legacy lnb's with 2 outputs and only 1 per lnb used
5 sats with a diseqc 4-1 and sw-21 combined
