Flight of the Phoenix Paul Mantz, an aerial stuntman, was a legendary pilot in Hollywood. Unfortunately, he met his end in a lethal plane crash while filming a scene of 'Flight of the Phoenix.' The plane snapped in half, and Mantz was pinned beneath the wreckage

A Vampire in Brooklyn On the set of 'A Vampire in Brooklyn,' Angela Bassett's stunt-double Sonja Davis missed the improperly placed air bag during a 42-foot backward fall and smashed into the pavement. She died of her injuries 2 weeks after the accident.

Top Gun While filming an aerobic stunt for 'Top Gun,' Art Scholl, one of the Hollywood's best stunt pilot, went into an inverted spin. His plane plunged into the Pacific Ocean in no time, resulting in his death. Unfortunately, his body wasn't recovered.

The Crow Brandon Lee, son of the famous actor Bruce Lee, was fatally wounded while filming a scene for 'The Crow.' Another actor shot him with a prop gun that was supposed to be loaded with only blanks.

Twilight Zone: The Movie Although all accidental deaths are tragic, this particular incident resulting in the death of veteran actor Vic Morrow and two child actors is utterly heartbreaking. In a scene, Morrow went to rescue the kids from an attacking helicopter. The low-flying chopper crashed and crushed all three of them.

The Green Lantern Ryan Reynolds heard something pop while filming a fight sequence for the movie. Turned out, it was his shoulder. He forced his shoulder back and continued with the scene. He described the painful event later.

X-Men Days of Future Past Halle Berry suffered a head injury during the shooting of a fight sequence on the set of 'X-Men: Day of Future Past.' The people on the set took her to the hospital immediately, but she checked out okay and was released.

Noah's Ark The film released in 1928. While filming a flood scene, they used so much water that three extras drowned. One of them was so badly injured that his leg was amputated.

Shark One of the stuntmen working on this film was attacked and killed by what was believed to be a sedated shark. The incident was captured on camera, and the production team used it to promote the film.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Daniel Radcliffe had a stunt double for his flying scenes during the movie. One of those scenes involved an explosion that knocked the stuntman out. He was rushed to the hospital after he said he couldn't feel his legs.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice During an action sequence of this film, a stunt-double for Nicolas Cage drove a Ferrari through Times Square. He accidentally drove the car into an Olive Garden. The driver was fine, but two customers sustained injuries.

Gothika Halle Berry performed most of her stunts in this movie, and it cost her a broken arm. Berry was rushed to the hospital after she broke her ulna in a physically demanding scene. The film was delayed due to her injury.

The Lord of the Rings While performing his role as Aragorn in the movie, Viggo Mortensen did all of his stunts himself and suffered various injuries. He even knocked out his tooth while filming an action scene.

Wings 'Wings' was the very first film in the history to win an Academy Award. Dick Grace, one of the World War I pilots, was filming a scene where he had to crash. He broke his neck during the production but luckily survived.
