Currently running JNX Box ultra HD with dish dual Lnb pan pointed at 110 and 119.
Want to start to receive HD channels and was wondering what else I need to get the HD sat? Can I just add another
LNB or is another pan with switches built in the LNB the way to go?

yes I do just have a twin lnb dish. I am only planning on using one receiver so if I get a 1000.2 do I still need a power inserter?

You have a V3, will need an inserted to handle 3 sats. There's plenty of HD channels in 110 and 119. Your location is important to get 129. If available to you, then you can follow the given instructions.

Fist of all, what unit do you have? Your location is important to get 129. If available to you, then you can follow the given instructions.
you quoted the unit they have

Go back I corrected myself. He did not mention what Jynx he had.

for this section it would need to be a 1,2 or 3 and they all operate the same

People make post in the wrong section every day, especially here. We need to know before giving a responsible answer.

What channels on 119 and 110 are HD? And yes I do have a version 3. So I will need a inserter? My location is Northern Ontario Canada.

So again do I need an inserter for 1 receiver and 3 sats?

the power inserter would be enough for 1 receiver, you can find it on ebay, but you can try without it,the first jynx that came out I help a couple of friends with one receiver and 1000.2 dish and they haven,t had a problem.....

It is best to have a power inserter or an old bell or dish receiver hooked to the first port of the LNB.

Ok to help out I will post this again, most of the FTA receivers out there do not have enough DC current to run the 3 headed LNB from dish, (dish 1000 LNB) it's design specifications call for 650 mA of DC current, with a DC voltage ranging from 10.7 to 22 volts DC, now most FTA receivers can supply the DC voltage just fine, but are limited to 500 mA maximum on the DC current, there are some that can supply more, (I do not have a list of those receivers) and some FTA receivers even tho they say 500 mA might be able to work on the Dish 1000 LNB, as they might be able to supply a bit more or you got lucky and have a Dish 1000 LNB that takes a bit less, but this LNB will put a very hard strain on your receivers LNB power supply circuit.
So to prevent receiver damage over time (and again it may take time) it is highly recommended to use the DP 44 switches DC power inserter, (or a Dish legacy switch power supply) it is the only one specified to be used with any DP or DPP LNB from dish, (the Dish 1000 LNB is a DPP) using an old Dish receiver to power this LNB can also be done, using more then one FTA receiver will not work, the receiver with the highest DC voltage will be the one supplying the power, this is how things work in electronics, you can't add two power supplies together to get more current, not without some very special sensing circuitry inside the power supply's. (only batteries can do this, not the cheap DC power supplies in all the FTA receivers out there)
So if using the dish 1000 LNB and you haven't done so it is HIGHLY recommended to use the DC power inserter to run the LNB, or at sometime in the future you may be looking a buying a new FTA receiver when the power supply circuit for the LNB gives up.
But this is your choice to use one or not, if you have one and it looks to be working then you may have been lucky, if you have switching problems between satellites then your not so lucky and your receiver is trying it's best to run the 3 LNB's and the internal switch and may go FUBAR soon.

Ok so I finally got my dish 1000.2. Going to use just one receiver a JNX Box Ultra HD. I also have a power inserter. So do I run the line for the power inserter to LNB in and the line from the receiver to LNB 1 which I'm assuming is for 119?

Remember you don't need a switch, the switch is built in the LNB.

One more question. I using a Dish VideoPath power inserter. On one end it says "to receiver satellite in " and the other says "to switch input 1". So do I just run a line to the first input on the LNB from the power inserter? How can I run a line to receiver from power inserter and from the LNB?

Switch input 1 should go to the #1 port on the LNB.

Yes I realize that. But my question is from your pic the second input to the LNB goes to my JNXbox. So how do I run a line from the other end of the power inserter to my JNXbox or from what your saying is you don't?

You need two coax run's, one directly from the "to switch input 1" on the power inserter out to the #1 port on the LNB.
The second coax goes directly from your JNXbox to the #2 port on the LNB.
And that's it for the wiring, you setup the receiver with the correct diseqc switch settings, do a scan and your done.

Hook the power inserter to port #1 of the LNB, you don't need a receiver hooked to the other end of the power inserter.
Hook the jynxbox to the #2 port of the LNB, just like in the pic.
