I cant connect to the server, I have done a hard reboot of the receiver, modem and router still no connection. I thought the server was done but I check with my friend, it is up

Modem Problem - No Ethernet connection - cant connect to server

I was unable to connect to server when I switched internet provider and they provided a basic modem (old style modem with single Ethernet output which I connected to my router).
I tried everything to get connected but no luck. Provider gave me a newer version modem which worked great. this happened a couple times. The problem was the old style modem.
My sytem was running great; I just switched to a new provider that only use the same style of older version modem and have the same problem. Unfortunately, the internet provider "nexicom" only have that modem and I am stuck. Have u heard old this problem? Can anyone provide some advise regarding a solution. The problem cannot be resolved by using a better router.

I don't know how much help you'll get as you are in rocket forum with a modem problem and you hijacked a thread. Let us know what this modem is you have, and where you have it plugged in at router. Also you may have to hit the reset button on router to get it to hookup but should not be a problem. Or maybe the 30 30 30 with router. Give it a try. good luck

You can also buy your own modem and replace the one nexicom sent you just make sure you call their tech support and ask what modems they support
