I am testing a V10 working ok but it will not bring up any guide could someone say how to populate the guide

Do you have an SD card in it or a usb in the front port, if not you will only get about 2 HRs of epg, put it on CH 239 for 5 min for DN epg.

on my old version 2 i had to format the micro sd card to ntfs before the jynxbox would recognize it

do you know what format the micro sd card needs to be for the V10?

ntfs works fine, you can format it from the receiver menu.

I have never been able to get that to work with my V1.

I have never been able to get that to work with my V1.
The sd card worked fine on my V1 untill the main board went out, the v1 was not a very good receiver for me, I use it for parts now,
infact I used the U7 chip from it on my V6 to recover it from a clone kill code.

Other than the EPG and PVR crap mines been very good.
I built my own HTPC with a SkyWalker and will never buy another STB again.

You know the jynxbox will record the HD CHs perfect, and if you add a DVBs2 tuner it will record SD CHs perfect too.

So folks over all would you suggest getting one ? Is there a link to steps for setup?

Yep so some say but mine has never played back well. Always freezes or stutters.

Did you ever try to record HD, my V7 records HD perfect & so does my V6 with firmware v 3.2.57, I can put my DVBs2 tunner in it
and record SD perfect, great play back.

my V3 had that problem, had to make sure in the time settings it was on 24 hour time, otherwise the epg was blank, the ch numbers showed but nothing else.
I have ordered a v7 just waiting for it to arrive, heard of 2 many quirks with the v10 from other people, so will find out when i get my 7

If you like the V3 you will love the V7, the down side is the fan will need to be replaced, only 1 tuner and no sd card slot.
as for the V10, had mine is just over 30 days and it's dead nothing works but the red light on the VFD.

Well I don't think we were off topic, but try this.
Set your clock in the receiver menu to 24 HRS and set the date, reboot then put the receiver on CH 239 for about 5 min.
If that don't work let me know, I will help you if I can.

Try this ....
Put a clean usb stick into a usb slot.

Channels on the Western Arc 110/119/129 on the 9 day EPG transponder...
145 146 148 418 424 427 436 438 440 452 470 475 486 491 563 569 889 895 5440

Channels on the Eastern Arc 62/72.7/77 on the 9 day EPG transponder...
101 116 197 201 202 210 286 312 322 394 404 480 486 491 492 494 498 843

Find a channel that has picture and park on it for about 10 mins.

Are you using a usb or a micro sd card, I like the micro sd card because then I can use the usb for other things and when I am not using the usb I can close the door.
One more thing I have found is that sd card or usb needs to be 1 GB or less, the larger ones dont seem to work as well.

The one i ordered does have a sd slot and reader installed, i did ask seller to verify this and will know in a few days when it arrives. It is listed as a JBV7 updated model...
