I've the ilink IR210 receiver. Got the private server keys and have been using it for a while.
Lately, some channels are literally unwatchable - constant freezing on channels 400, 712 etc. Every 10-15 seconds it freezes up. According to my guy, the server is working fine - but my box is having problems establishing constant connection. I tried another server also - same problem

According to both the servers, they're working find and shouldnt be any freezing.

What can i do to fix this? Any help would be appricated. My receiver has the latest bin 2.82 I think.

Have you rebooted your network? modem router rcvr?
tried another network cable?
If some channels work fine and others freeze I would say its the server myself

I should've mentioned - yes i've rebooted the modem and rcvr multiple times.
Mostly all channels have freezing issues - some more than other. As I said, according to 2 differnet IKS providers, the servers are fine last night and they said they're acutally watching the same channel (712) without any freezing for more than an hour whereas on my box it freezes every 10 sec.

Dont know what to do - get another rcvr? What is a good one to get?

Anyway to get this working?

Are you hard wired?
Have you tested your isp?

Yes - I'm connected directly to my modem.
How do I test my isp? All other devices in the house are connected to internet without any issues - netflix, emails, and other internet services are working fine.

I might check another cable just to rule the cable out.
To test your isp run pingtest dot net on your isp.
Check for packet loss Other devices can run fine and if your packet loss is bad then iks wont work well

I did the ping test - there isn't much packet loss (0%) . I did this from my laptop.

Do you've the same rcvr and its working fine with IKS?

I haven't done a factory reset - just loaded the latest bin again. Should I do a factory reset, load the factory bin first and then the 2.84 bin?

With the uncertainty of iks I would consider a jynxbox clone Iq has a few threads on the different versions in the other rcvrs forums or look for a dreamlink t4

Try loading the latest patch. Its an old firmware re-done to fix the freeze issues.

Thanks. I'll try that.
Should i load the 28.ups file just like a bin file?

Just called in the iks provider - he just wants me to spend another 200 on a new receiver..rubbish..

this seem to have fixed the issue somewhat - after doing a factory reset, load this patch file and a sat scan, things are better now. Not that much freezing. Should've done this long ago. Haven't been active in these forums - so kinda lost touch!!
