Rin Tin Tin Rin Tin Tin, the most famous of all German Shepherds, pulled in a cool $6,000 a week. He starred in 26 movies for Warner Brothers and was instrumental in preventing the studio from filing bankruptcy in the 1930s. The original actor died in 1932.

Keiko the Killer Whale Keiko, the star of 'Free Willy', brought home a paycheck of $36 million for his starring role. He was given his freedom in 2002 but sadly died of pneumonia in 2003 off the coast of Norway.

Bart the Alaskan Brown Bear Bart was no lightweight in the earnings department. He made over $6 million appearing in 'The Edge.' 'The Great Outdoors.' and 'Legends of the Fall.' Bart lived to be 23 years old.

Pal the Collie Pal was the original Lassie and starred on television and the big screen. He earned $4,000 a week, lived to be 18 years old, and was the first animal inducted into the Animal Hall of Fame.

Moose the Jack Russell Terrier Moose played Eddie on the hit show 'Frasier.. He earned $10,000 an episode. His son, Enzo, took over the role as Moose aged. Moose passed away in 2006 at the age of 15.

Crystal the Capuchin Monkey Crystal was one of Hollywood's hardest working animal actors and appeared in more than 20 films, including 'Night at the Museum' and 'The Hangover Part II.' Her most famous role was on the television show 'Animal Practice,' where she earned $12,000 per episode.

Terry the Cairn Terrier Terry starred in 13 films, but her most famous role was that of Toto in 'The Wizard of Oz'. She earned $125 a week, which was no small change in the late 1930s. Terry suffered for her art and actually had an ankle broken while shooting 'The Wizard of Oz.'

Golden Cloud the Horse Better known as Trigger, Golden Cloud appeared in all 88 of Roy Roger's movies, spanning the 1930s to the 1950s. Roy Rogers purchased Trigger, and no reliable information exists on the exact amount Trigger earned. Considering he was in over 100 films, he didn't do too bad for himself.

Skippy the Terrier Skippy starred in several movies but is most famous for playing Asta in 'The Thin Man.' He earned $250 a week while other animal actors of the 1930s were only being paid $3.50 a day.

Benji Benji is the top paid animal actor. There have been a total of five Benji movies with three different dogs playing the role. The original Benji, Higgins, starred in several movies and television shows, but his role as Benji earned him induction into the Animal Hall of Fame, the second animal ever after Lassie.
