No connection, no load....failure

I'm resurrecting an old Ultra V.1. Several factory re-sets, File 2.75. I have a valid ps, entered, re-entered info, nothing. I thought maybe going back to 2.73 would help, but when I try loading it I just get "failure". Tried loading factory 201, same thing, "failure". Any suggestions? I've been working on this for the past week, scouring various boards without success. TIA

For anyone having this problem, not sure why but I was trying different things and this worked. I held in power button and the OK button (on the stb, not the remote) at the same time for about thirty seconds, then the power button and the "menu" button for the same amount of time and "bang" it connected (CH.200) and came on. It's fine now....now sure whether it was some kind of hard re-boot but it is worth noting. I don't think it was coincidence.
