OK, Im going to start at the begining....My front panel went blank and would not reboot so I sent my Power Supply to
Dan Marco. He repaired it and sent it back. After reinstalling it, it booted up great but my settings were all screwed up
so I started at the begining with a system clean, and reinsalled all files.
Now this is where the problem is. I can't scan any of my sats. No signal Quality or Strenght. I've tried many times,
but every time I scan my sats none of the transponders pick up any signal. No channels come in.
I am almost positive the problem is with the 8000. I say this because when I take the 8000 out and put in another
receiver (limesat) it works perfectly. all sats, TP. and all channels are there.
I've run out of ideas....I need some help with this. Ill try anthing I haven't all ready tried.

The basic idea of trouble shooting is to isolate and simplify. Why would your settings be different after a power supply repair?--nothing connects the power supply to the contents of the flash. Odds are you messed up the settings and you need to fix them to correct values. You could test the output of the box to the LNBs for proper voltage levels if you have a meter or an LED and resistor--if the power supply repair was not good or if there are components on main board that failed at the same time as the power supply (good chance that could happen as the H/V select is usually done on the main board, but it is just a simple voltage regulator most of the time and you might be able to replace that on your own).

not to be a smartass but trust me i've done this one. did you plug the sat cable in the right spot. don't laugh its happened a few times dealing with so many different boxes some are in a different spot :D

Got this from a post by Terryl and if you want to check the IF LNB output plus you feel comfortable doing it...turn the receiver off via back switch...insert a paperclip gently into the IF LNB output to aid in using the probes on the multi tester...if the SV8000 is the same as the SV360P then you should have 13v/18v depending on the channel or whether in standby mode or powered on etc. Tried to find a picture of the back of the 8000 to check but couldn't find one that I could get a close up to check. Below are the readings I got off mine a little while ago...as far as I know my 360P was working properly the last time I used it...was getting 99/99 Q&S on all the conus tp's. Hope this helps you out.
SV360P:
119-202-R-V-13v
119-205-L-H-22v
110-206-L-H-22v
110-218-R-V-13v
Standby-clock showing on display-22v
Factory reset-standby clock showing on display or power on 0000 showing on display-13v
Note: The meter I used is an older one with a needle and there could be a + or- in the readings...no where near an expert when it comes to a multi tester.

Thanks to everyone who has your replied. I think this one is beyond my ability to figure out. I was hoping it was something simple.
I guess I'm just not lucky enough. If anyone knows of someone who may be able to repair it for me anywhere in the Toronto area.
You could PM there name and how to contact them, I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks to everyone again.
