Just wondering if anybody has had duplicate tp issues while scanning? Only occurs on c band side, I get duplicate tp but on opposite polarity. Wondering if it has something to do with servo motor. Any ideas?

I have seeing this in KU also, yesterday Jenuel was doing test and found a sat with Blind scan all the TP came out double, all 4 V and then all 4 H when he skewed the LNB for max quality all the H disappeared quality, did another blind scan with the new skew and only V TP were found...........................

Thanks Turbo, I'm going to give it a shot. Good thing about having a wideband corotor is that I skew with my remote.

That I didn't know, I was wondering about the skew with a dish running with a motor, good to know, soon I'll start testing C-Band...............

It doesn't have anything to do with the motor Turbo, it's my feed. The skew is controlled by my corotor as well as my polarity by servo motor, you can see the outlets at the back of the Pansat3500 for servo motor polarity switching.
Wideband corotor also gives me c band linear and circular- but they are pricey.

OK I see you didn't understand what is killing my curiosity, I was thinking of buying a small motor to use with a 3' dish, then I asked my self, all sats have different skew how will this be done? I saw a few videos at youtube and I saw the lnb in it's place but always wonder about the skew, I guess a BUD is differently, well I know is differently. lol

Seems to me that the Pansat might be the problem. I did skew out the weaker signal and it hasn't duplicated since so it's much better.
Looking into hd box with good blind scan to replace the pansat, slave out servo to old Toshiba ird and use it as a positioner as well.

AZBox HD heard good things about this receiver, I know how has SV8000 HD with 8psk installed selling it for 150$ wonder the shipping from Puerto Rico??

I've got my eyes on the azbox and the kbox hd at the moment. I would prefer the azbox, but I've heard there still working on the blind scan. Sv would be nice but this hd stb will be only for fta- already have too many iks and eks stb.

Be careful with Azbox Premium and Elite HD units...they don't have blindscan. The only way Opensat (the manu) seems to have found to fix this was to release a Premium+

That's what I'm waiting for. A true ftaer like me cannot use an stb that doesn't have blin scan, especially when it's going to cost about $500.

I just went across the pond to check on the status of these boxes.....I just found out that blindscan on the premium+ is limited to one sr at a time....still not great for true fta. Glad I insisted on a working sample before I got sucked into being the importer for NA. Too bad a box with such promise, failed. I did notice a reference to another box that you might want to check...Spiderbox HD9000....supposedly running circles around the azboxes (of course that doesn't take much ;) )

Forgot that AZbox doesn't have blind scan, Take that one out of the list..........I heard about Pansat 9200HD but not sure if it has a Blind scan feature.................................

I'm not using an lnbf. I have a wideband corotor with Chaparral c band lnb and eagle aspen ku lnb.

The bonus with my setup is that I'm picking up circular c band as well as linear and if I need to skew my lnb I use my remote with my stb. Picking up about 200 extra circular channels on Atlantic side sats. A little pricey though, just the corotor was $200, not including the lnbs.

I know several people using the geosat lnbf- you won't regret it.
