Cotto signs with Roc Nation

Middleweight champ Miguel Cotto announced this morning on ESPN’s First Take that he has signed a promotional agreement with Roc Nation Sports, Jay Z’s company.
“We [Miguel Cotto Promotions and MCP boxers] have an alliance with Roc Nation and we are more than happy to announce that,” said Cotto.
Cotto, who has been promoted for most of his career with Top Rank, outside of two fights, is the second big-time fighter signed by Roc Nation Sports, as the company announced earlier this year that they had also signed super middleweight champ Andre Ward.
Cotto also confirmed that he is indeed fighting in June, likely on the 6th, though an opponent has yet to be determined, after his proposed clash with Canelo Alvarez fell through. It is expected he will fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn or Madison Square Garden.
