Cobra......
Just before the Eagles could get too down with themselves for not signing Frank Gore they get the leading rusher in the NFL.......not for a ton of money either. I`m kinda surprised here that for the amount reported that Murray couldn`t resign with Dallas. Seems the obvious answer is that Bryant refused to restructure his contract in favor of keeping Murray. Big mistake for the Cowboys. Don`t expect Murray to put up the numbers he did in Dallas because that O line in Philly isn`t very good.
It appears highly-coveted free-agent running back DeMarco Murray will sign with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The deal is reportedly worth $42 million over five years, including $21 million guaranteed. Murray was en route to Philly Thursday to meet with Eagles officials.
Schefter's sources say that the Dallas Cowboys have begun looking for other running backs with the expectation they will lose Murray.
The 27-year-old has spent his entire four-year career with the Cowboys. The Las Vegas native had his best season as a pro in 2014, racking up 1, 845 yards rushing with 13 touchdowns.
Murray is a two-time Pro Bowler and was selected in the third round, 71st overall, in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Cowboys.
The Eagles are in need of a starting running back after they moved LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills for linebacker Kiko Alonso.

So you ask why???????????? You think that the Cowboys are crazy......sly like a fox. Get ready for this.....go get all the cash you have and bet it down on the Cowboys to win next years Super Bowl, no I`m not kidding.
For Jerry Jones to let Murray walk away he had something already done.....remember last year he got accused and found guilty of tampering re phone conversations? who was that with?....yup Adrian Peterson who just happens to be from Texas. Now the Vikes have already shown their interest of Riddley in New England and have already signed their other back from last year Matt Asiata. Cowboys didn`t clear cap space of Bryant for Murray because they`re doing it for Peterson.
Mark my words Adrian Peterson will be the Cowboys running back this year. You heard it here first my friend.

The cowboys only offered Murray 5 million/yr. Not many teams will pay RBs big bucks anymore. It is a passing league. The eagles are nuts.

We'll see, Seahawks picked up Jimmy Graham.........Huge get!!
Next year in the Superbowl at least they will have a decent option rather than one bone head move because fact is, if Graham gets thrown that same ball.....he won't get moved off it. So now, pick your poison is a nice option for any offense.

No question about it Graham gives the Hawks a much needed new dimension on offense........now all they need to do is get Carroll to call his number when it counts......LMAO

Yup... losing Suh really hurts but picking up Ngata helps on the run. Problem being I`m not sure Ngata will draw a double team on every play like Suh did making Failey and Levy (LB) better. It`ll help if that fat pig Fairley stays out of trouble with the law and doesn`t come to camp another 50 lbs overweight again......he`s an FA that we wouldn`t be too sorry losing because without Suh he`s nothing. Losing Suh wasn`t a surprise here tho.....he said repeatedly he wanted a bigger market for endorsements etc....I`m sure that no sales tax in FLA was another incentive making that kind of money.

Champions can run the ball.........
The Packers won the SB in 2010 with James Starks as their feature back. You can win without a great RB.

Passing league?Someone forgot to tell Beast Mode.lol
The main reason the Seahawks win is because of their D. They are the only team in league history to allow the fewest points and fewest yards in 2 consecutive seasons. If the Seahawks had an average D, they would win 9 games/yr.

Peterson will end up on Dallas as long as he restructures his deal. What is his cap hit? 20 million?

Of course there will be teams that defy the rule of having a good running attack but they are few and far between.....unless I miss my guess Starks had a pretty good season.

No question there will have to be some adjustments made and not just Peterson......but of course we can all trust JJ to keep things above board LOL. Any deal with Peterson will have the Goodell breathing down their neck (and empty pockets).

No RB had a good year for the Packers in 2010. Ryan Grant got hurt opening week, and the Packers tried a bunch of guys that season. I remember the Packers had a trade set up with Buffalo for Marshawn Lynch in exchange for a 2nd round draft pick. Thompson, the Packers GM, got cold feet and backed out.

That trade will get done though. I think they still have some decent cap space.

Yup...I think so too...there wasn`t an effort to keep Murray for a reason and that tip off last year with JJ tampering isn`t just a coincidence.

big ben 5yr deal?...hmmmm....i would think personally maybe 1yr deal at best...
PITTSBURGH -- Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger signed a five-year contract Friday that should allow him to play his entire career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"This is where I want to be," Roethlisberger said Friday afternoon with chairman Dan Rooney, team president Art Rooney II, coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert among those watching his news conference. "It's an incredibly fair deal for both sides, and we're just excited to move forward and get some more Lombardi Trophies in that room next year."
COMINGS AND GOINGSESPN.com is your headquarters for NFL trades and free-agency moves this offseason.
Roethlisberger has led the Steelers to their only two Super Bowl titles since the 1970s, and the 11-year veteran is coming off a Pro Bowl season in which he established career highs in passing yards (4,952), completions (408) and completion percentage (67.1).
He turned 33 on March 2, but Colbert said in January that the Steelers believe he is getting better and can continue to play at a high level into his late 30s, as Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have done.
"Ben has a number of great years ahead of him," Art Rooney II said.
Before Roethlisberger signed the new deal, he was heading into the final year of the eight-year, $102 million contract he signed in 2008, and the Steelers had remained steadfast that they would get a new deal done with their franchise quarterback.
He had a salary-cap hit of $18.395 million and was due a base salary of $11.6 million this year. Rooney declined to give specifics in regard to Roethlisberger's new deal and whether it lowered his cap hit for 2015.
The Steelers had been among the quietest teams during the first week of free agency, adding their first outside player Friday when they signed former Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams to a two-year contract.
Rooney said re-signing Roethlisberger to a long-term contract was the Steelers' top priority even after the start of the free-agent signing period Tuesday.
"For us, this was the most important," Rooney said.
Roethlisberger's wife Ashley, son Ben Jr. and daughter Baylee attended the news conference, and Roethlisberger said he wants to play his entire career with the Steelers so he can raise his children in Pittsburgh.
"People ask where I'm from," Roethlisberger said, "I'm from Pittsburgh."

Got my wish...Fairley went to the Rams today. Boy are they in for a surprise and it won`t be a good one. They`re gonna see just how good Suh was to make Fairley look good.
And the Cowboys got their "just in case" back today in McFadden from Oakland.
