129 wore me out!!!

I don't know the issue but I can't get my v10 jynxbox will not lock onto the 129 satellite! my setup is the western arc with dpp triple lnb, i have a vip 211 ird directly connected to port 1 of the lnb to power it and the jynxbox is on port 2. The 211 does the usual switch check and all is perfect there. The 119 and 110 lock on no problem on the jynxbox,I'm uploading pics of my setup on the jynxbox. I have been doing this since the cband days.this is my first attempt with FTA. I really tried to figure this out before I asked for help.

ya your on the wrong one when i use to look for it it was like the 516 or 532 i think

I did try to change the TP to 12516 which locks on no problem then I do the scan and the channels show up but as soon as i exit out of the menu to watch tv the channels are there but the signal strength is almost zero and i do not have any picture, so i go back into the menu to the 129 satellite setup and it's no longer locked and is back to the default 12224 TP , but the 119 and 110 are still locked on.

ok it's set for ocs-dp then i set the TP 12516 then it locks but when i exit out then go back into the installation menu the default Tp 12224 is back and it's no longer locked

delete tp till u hav signal .exit >save and then scan

friend my guess your loosing power if your not using a switch and your using more then one receiver on this setup you need a dp44 switch and power inserter on your setup,because the jyxn boxes are power hogs....

I know the V1,2 and 3s would handle that LNB quite well but it is better with a power inserter. Not sure about these clones though.
He should be able to put the power inserter between the Jynx and port one on the LNB. I did this with no issues for several years.

Now having said that I had this same issue with mine last year and it turned out to be the 129 LNB that was bad. I swapped it out with DP Legacy's and a 4x1 switch and that fixed it up nicely and I haven't looked back.

If you have another STB to test on this it would be nice to try it.

Your setup should look like PICs, where I have the power inserter you should have 211 receiver hooked, when you save the CH scan, save is yellow not blue.

One more thing, your 211 receiver has been setup on a dish 500 with a DPP twin LNB and needs to be reset, the only way to reset it
to a new type switch is to run a check switch with no coax cable hooked to the 211 receiver, that will reset it, then turn off the 211
and hook the coax cable back up then run another check switch.

i swapped out the vip211 for a 722k to power the lnb and now the 129 locks on!!! what a weekend for trying to do this,i do appreciate everyone's input. I guess there's an ECM going on now?

I don't think the 211 receiver was the problem, read post 19.
I don't think there is an ECM, try CH 9491, History HD, sat 129.0w.
