OK.....I`m pretty much sold on what Shane Mosley said.....PBF will win on points although he`ll save much of his combo attack till after the 6th or 7th round and even then it`ll be sporadic enough to just win the round.

Funny thing tho.......all those choosing Pac pretty much just said they wanted him to win and were cheering for him....Tyson was the only one giving a reason he thought Pac would win.

I'm a huge fan of both these guys
so I'll be happy for the winner
and disappointed for the loser
I'm predicting Mayweather on points 70%
Pacquiao stoppage 30%

Ok, this one is for you, my friend. From Nacho Beristain, Marquez's coach:
“Pacquiao will definitely win. Pacquiao is just too tough and too strong. Pressure and a lot of punches just beats Floyd up,” Beristain told Mark Malinowski of ringobserver.com.

“It’s a very good, important fight but that fight should not happen. Because I believe Pacquiao will beat Mayweather. You’re gonna take away the glory that has made Mayweather these past years. Mayweather’s style when he fights someone that pressures him and throws a lot of punches – he just beats [Floyd] up,” the 72-year-old Bersitain added.

Beristain also said it won’t be an “easy” fight but insisted that Pacquiao “will definitely win.”

From Lennox Lewis:
Manny Pacquiao is known for his hand speed and powerful left hand. But former undisputed world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis thinks Pacquiao’s heart could be his biggest weapon against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Lewis, like many other present and past champions, gave his take on the May 2 megafight between the top two pound-for-pound fighters Mayweather and Pacquiao.

According to Lewis, who is regarded as one of the best in his division, while Mayweather is the more talented fighter, his heart couldn’t be compared to that of Pacquiao’s.

“I think Floyd has so much talent and quickness, that natural ability to win. It really depends on his heart. Pacquiao has a lot of heart,” the retired British boxer Lewis told BBC Radio Live’s Sportsweek.

Bernard "The Alien" Hopkins.....

Regarding the Mayweather v. Pacquiao showdown, Hopkins gave this assessment: “The first six rounds you’re going to get your money’s worth. Manny Pacquiao has had more early round knockouts in the past five years than Mayweather has had in the past 10 years. I see Mayweather being stalked early, getting angles from the southpaw and being knocked down one or two times.
“[Floyd Mayweather Jr.] will have to dig deep and go to the well on this one, but I believe because of his boxing I.Q. and skills, he will pull out a close split or maybe controversial decision.

Ok, OK, OK.......la!

My prediction is that it will not be a lacklustre night; that there will be a lot of fireworks. Something like this will be orchestrated to the hilt. When you have two of the top ranking TV broadcasters collaborating (Showtime and HBO), they will be milking this event for all it's worth. It will put the Beijing Olympics' Opening Night to shame.

When Michael Buffer and Jimmy Lennon Jr. are through with their preamble (assuming that the two combatants have already entered the ring); after someone is done singing "Jose, can you see" and "Bayang magiliw"; assuming that the two are still there facing each other when Kenny Bayless is done giving his instruction; assuming that Pacquiao is not left standing all alone at the centre of the ring when the bell rings.....(so many assumptions!)..assuming that the fat lady is done singing and is quietly sitting down....

..........to be continued.... watch for the next episode of ..."to fight or not to fight"....

Alright, alright, you got me!

Here is "How" I see this fight. Pacquiao enters the ring with that "idiot" smile that you have alluded to earlier. He will be waving at the throng of people who could be heard in Japan, Mars, and Venus shouting, "MAANN......NYYYY", MAANNNN....NNNY". It would be so deafening that Floyd would be irked in his dressing room that he punches his uncle Roger accidentally...knocks him out.

Floyd, with Justin Bieber, his boy-toy, prepares to make a grand entrance in his gladiator outfit.
http://www.livefight.com/images/pages/1307478973floyd-mayweather.jpg

Floyd enters the arena to the expletive-laden beat of rapper T.I. (who once accused Floyd with wanting to bed his "lovely wife" (see for yourself below)
http://ll-media.tmz.com/2014/05/25/0525-mayweather-tiny-ti-tmz-4.jpg

Electrifying moments follow the ensuing events in the ring. Pacquiao's smiles disappears as he faces his foe. You could see the fierce determination in his eyes. Imagine the blades that snap out of Wolverine's (X-men) fists, except this time they appear above Pacquiao's eyebrows, ready to deliver the coup-de-grace.

As the bell rings, Pacquiao flies out of his corner like a dragon spotting a black prey. Floyd rolls his shoulders to protect against the vicious attack coming from nowhere. He gets a little flustered but regains his composure.

In a lightning flash, Floyd flicks a right that catches the PacMan by surprise. "That felt like a mini-Marquez", he says to himself. But before he could recover from a sudden counter attack by the Money Man, he takes a left upper cut. Then another right cross. Suddenly, there is pandemonium at MGM Grand. They do not expect this from Floyd.

Three more rapid combinations and Pacquiao's fans moan in silence. Their hero is down on the canvass at 2:24 of the 1st round....and counted out by Bayless.

(Happy now, Fib?)

By the way, my real name is Abraham Lincoln, aka, Chris Williams, aka Pinnochio!

Pac hasn't seen anybody lose conciseness in front of him for a few years and yet he's planning on knocking out the best pugilist in the market. Totally forgot that PBF has a jaw, he's been hit before by bigger men and nothing happened.

Permettez-moi d'expliquer!!!! For those who may need some clarification, our friend TLG says that "We are off topic". Furthermore, he questions why (in the picture) "their legs are crossed" and "what is happening here"?

Well, first, Senor Fib used this "picture" to brag about how he plans to be "under cover" (literally). However, unsuspectingly, he stumbled upon an imaging system that could take pictures of events happening in the future. Yes sir! This is actually NOT OFF TOPIC, Senor TLG. This picture was taken from this high-tech future imaging system that portrays the outcome of the fight.

Something happened near the end of the 12th round. Pacquiao delivered a devastating left hook to Mayweather's chin at the exact moment that Floyd was about to execute a perfect uppercut. The instantaneous collision between an irresistible force (Pacquiao's left hook) against an immoveable object (Mayweather's chin) caused Mayweather's uppercut to miss its target. It landed on Pacquiao's crotch. It caused him incredible pain and fell backwards still holding on to his precious possession. Meanwhile, Mayweather was knocked out from the left hook but since he was in the process of delivering a deadly counter that was off target, he fell forward.

You can tell in the picture the smaller feet of Pacquiao (crossed) while Mayweather's feet are clearly apart. Both were carted off the ring. Because of the severity of the collision and foul, the paramedics simply threw a towel over the two bodies.

Oh, yes...you might ask why the feet are "white". Well, you must know that when a person is frightened like hell, he turns white!

Est-ce exact? M. TLG?

These are not too complicated to answer.
WHEN? Gezzzzs..... Saturday, May 2, MGM Grand
HOW? Twelve rounds - 36 minutes

More details, you say! When? Approximately 9:35 pm depending on who would be on the undercard. Which brings me to this....who would you like to see? According to plans there would only be two other match ups. Bradley-Khan? Lomachenko-Rigondeaux? Bradley-Rios?

Oh...OK....you mean, "When and at what round will my man dispose of his foe?"
http://images.christianpost.com/full/78713/manny-pacquiao-floyd-mayweather-jr.jpg

Well, as you can see..., my man is smiling! He has the looks of a confident boxer. To him, this is an opportunity of a lifetime - to demonstrate to the world that he is a legend of his era; that no one is quite like him. He has trained hard for this significant fight of his career and he truly believes there is no one quite like him.

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/03137/mayweather-pacquia_3137294b.jpg

Those who have studied all of his previous fights know that my man has impeccable defense tactics and great footwork. He has strong work ethics. And he has an excellent team behind him.

My man is also very deceptive...and elusive.

http://www.mannypaquiaovs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Spike-Guys-Choice-Awards-Most-Dangerous-Man-Manny-Pacquiao-vs-Floyd-Mayweather-Jr.jpg

Finally, my man has been deemed to be "a most dangerous man" in his career as a boxer.
With all these attributes, I can safely predict that the world will be shocked by the outcome of this fight
on May 2. At approximately 10:22 pm, my man shall be declared winner - after a brutal beating of his opponent.

Hope this clarifies my position.

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/03137/mayweather-pacquia_3137294b.jpg

Hope this clarifies my position.

fine job there young fella

know ,, ALL French Canadians are Montreal Canadians fans ,,
The Montreal Canadians,, also know as "Les Glorieux" ,, "Les Habitants" ,, "Les Tri-Couleurs"
They are the example of Provincial Pride amongst Montrealers ..

Not him ,, he cheers for ANY team BUT the Montreal Canadians ,,
He will cheer for the Buffalo Sabers to beat the the Canadians
He will cheer for the Edmonton Oilers to beat Les Habitants
He will cheer for the Arizona Coyotes to beat Les Tri-Couleur
and ,,,,,, dare I type it ,,,,, I'll type quickly so no ones see's me...
He cheers for the Toronto Maple Leafs ,, to beat the Canadians ... (sacrilegious)....... LOL

You see ,, he's not a hockey fan ,, he's an anti Montreal Canadian fan .....

There are different type of fans

1) The fan that cheers for the winner,, the record holder ,, the best of the best (by stats)
this fan is a winner himself or aspires to be one, he is competitive,, he doesn't remember who
came in second in last years super bowl or last year's stanley cup playoffs

2) The fan that cheers for the underdog ,, the changing of the guard,, the competition.
This fan is also competitive ,, young blood ,, has respect for the champ but wants a change......
In his personal life ,he see's himself on that podium ,, he wants his bosses job.

3) The champ hater ,, that's my buddy , he doesn't care who's competing just as long as whoever
it is , they dethrone the champ. This person hates to see anyone on the podium because he want's to
be there,, but knows he lacks the skill ..

guess who he's cheering for?? ..... I'll give you 3 guesses, first two don't count ... LOL

You forgot the 4th one: The one who knows very little about the sport or its personalities but jumps on everyone's bandwagon because it's where the loudest music is blurting, and it is where beer is as abundant as the chicks with low cut blouses.

Of course, the last (5th) is the one who has all the books and stats and a collection of videos and believes he has the absolutely the perfect answer....although he has one problem.....he can't read! Oh, this one is a "legend in his own mind".

Nope....not nit picking......CANADIENS is the team`s name in both French and English versions.

The Leafs suck beyond my wildest nightmares and it goes a lot deeper than Kessel.......it would take 5 McDavids to fix that mess.

Worthy of a reply so here goes............from the files of the professor..........LMAO

History shows us, the H does not stand for Habitants, as that was only coined years after the logo was created. Instead the outer C represents Club, the H signifies Hockey, and the inner C represents Canadien – in full, “Club de Hockey Canadien”.

Windsor is booming with the housing market right now and has been for a while......outskirts are booming with big affluent houses and new subs every day it seems. Lots of Detroit employees live and retire in Windsor so they don`t have to fight that freeway traffic in Detroit and that 30% helps....my Dad worked at Cadillac for 40 yrs, it took him 5 mins to get there off the Ambassador Bridge and my daughter works at Karmanos Hospital Complex about 2 mins from the tunnel.

For all the hype over the May 2 fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, Hall of Fame boxer “Sugar” Ray Leonard said on Friday that the mega-bout reminds him of his matchup with “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler in 1987.
“There are similarities to the Hagler fight and this one,” Leonard said. “It’s the significance of the fight. If I hadn’t fought Hagler, I would have been asked and he would have been asked, ‘How come y’all didn’t fight?’”
Leonard won a 12-round, split-decision over Hagler, in what turned out to be Hagler’s final fight. “They asked me how come I didn’t give Hagler a rematch? He never asked for one,” Leonard said. “Hagler is the only guy I know that could just walk away.”
As for Mayweather-Pacquiao, Leonard said that bragging rights are important to boxers. “It’s more than the money, and there’s a lot money,” Leonard said. “Now we’re talking legacy, authenticity. Being the best one.”
Leonard acknowledged that despite what boxers say, there is a sense of fear before entering the ring against an accomplished rival. “We, as fighters, don’t say this because we have machismo, but we have concerned about our opponents,” Leonard said. “When I fought Hagler, I was … scared. When I fought [Roberto] Duran, scared. When I fought [Tommy] Hearns, scared. [Wilfred] Benitez, scared. Because I knew what they brought to the table.”
On Saturday, Leonard will be ringside as an analyst for NBC’s “Premier Boxing Champions” telecast (8:30 p.m. ET) of the Danny Garcia vs. Lamont Peterson bout at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

The Cobra
04-10-2015, 11:30 PM
Simply put....Hagler walked away because he knew why Leonard was handed his crown. Leonard to his credit never came out with any form of explanation of how he beat Hagler which was a first for him. He knew he hadn`t won the fight enough to take a crown from a champion and in latter years admitted it. Leonard was a seller, a draw, an attraction if you will for the sport....Hagler quietly just beat you to death and left without a word. Boxing handed the crown to a flambouyant Leonard and he knew it. Leonard quietly accepted the belt.....there were no bragging rights earned and again, to his credit he never tried.

Those paying for the Pac/PBF fight better hope and pray that the fight doesn`t go the Leonard/Hagler way because Leonard did a pop/pop with couple jabs and a couple weak combos and ran for his life the rest of the nite. Leonard couldn`t hurt Hagler if he brought a 2X4 into the ring and he knew it.
Difference here is that Hagler could have KO`d Leonard the second he caught him no matter the round.....I`m thinking that Pac at 36 yrs old doesn`t have that ability any more so I doubt that PBF fears a possibility of a KO at least not past the 6th.

Former professional boxer and now boxing trainer Ronnie Shields thinks that Floyd Mayweather will win over Manny Pacquiao in May in Las Vegas because of the undefeated American’s ring savvy and intelligence in the ring.
“I give the edge to Floyd Mayweather for the simple reason that Floyd has never lost before. Floyd knows how to win, he knows how to pull out victories,” Shields said to ontheropesboxing.com. “Pacquiao, he knows how to lose, but Floyd is a very intelligent fighter and when you look at it, he picks you off very quickly and once he does that, he’s very difficult guy to fight.”

While Shields is clear with his pick in the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, the veteran boxing trainer stated that he sees a close fight and that neither fighter will be dominating the other in the much-awaited bout. He also added that the fight will not see a knockout because of Mayweather’s defence and because Mayweather does not have the power to KO Pacquiao.
“Everyone in boxing knows Floyd has bad hands, but at the same time, when he hits you, he can sting you but he knows how to put combinations together that really take effect,” Shields added in the interview. “Once Floyd gets the judges to really watch him land solid punches then I just think that Manny is not going to be able to overcome it.”
Shields, who won the World Boxing Hall of Fame’s Trainer of the Year award in 2003, is one of the most respected boxing trainers in the sport having handled the likes of Mike Tyson, David Tua, Evander Holyfield, Pernell Whitaker, Arturo Gatti, Guillermo Rigondeaux, Jesse James Leija plus others in the past. Currently, Shields handles fighters Artur Szpilka, Erislandy Lara, Brian Vera, Edwin Rodríguez and Mike Lee among others.
