screen blanks out for a few seconds intermitingly

Hello testers, I have a issue with my not very old t5 where the screen goes out for a few seconds and then comes back on again. It does it quite regularly. I could be on a channel and then the screen goes black for 10 seconds and then comes back. No guide or anything then the screen comes back on and then it will be fine for a while and then it goes out again for 10 seconds. Wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and how to fix.

Make sure there is nothing on top of the box and air can get in the bottom. Also try a different HDMI cable from receiver to television and the length is not more than 30 feet.. Let us know if those suggestions help.

I changed the HDMI cord to a much shorter and I also made sure the T5 has ample air flow to keep it cool. The top is not hot at all.
I'm still having the same issue. So I shut it down for a while by the rear switch to see if that will make a difference. I'll let you know if it does regardless if it does or not.

Does it do it on a free channel with the internet disconnected? May need grounding, a possible short in your line,. If not then possibly your network is dropping signal and the testing begins. Modem, router, provider, cat cable,any switches in the network mix ..........

edit;
consider a drifting lnb as well.

if it freezes also its your private server,try rebooting your receiver and router to see if that helps....

I have had this problem 1 or 2 times in the last week...mine looses audio as well as video and all black for about 10 seconds.
This has happened 2 or 3 times in the last month or so. I never had to do anything and it always comes back on.

I have tried everyone suggestions and I think there is a internal issue with the receiver. The reason for my thoughts are that when it goes blank as its does I can't bring up the epg or menu. Also when the menu is up it will blank out as well. I tend to think its video card issue inside the receiver, even on the free channel. Completely disappointed with this receiver as I only got 6 month use out of it. I'm definitely sure its a video card within the unit. I would like to thank everyone for there suggestions as they are all very appreciated. Now the only thought is do I replace it or move on to IPTV.

I wanted to let everyone know that my T5 now works the way it should. No blank screen on and off anymore and all...

Mine was doing the same thing and it just randomly stopped doing it on its own. Forgot all about it until I read your thread. Haven't noticed it in weeks now.
