This is a pretty advanced attack. 10.9 Gbps at 3.1 Mpps (million packets per second) at 3.5 kbps. That's a lot of bot computers pushing a very steady volume of packets. I'm not sure enterprise level DDOS mitigation will do the trick (especially not from cloudflare). The attack is going right around the DNS level protection. They are on one server, which can be attacked by the IP itself. Server-level DDOS mitigation would not help against an attack this heavy. They need access to network level DDOS mitigation.

Why you are saying " rent 50,000 bots". Confusing to me. I have no knowledge in this ddos. But renting bots is even more confusing. That means that there are company's that rent hardware/software to attack the internet?

According to our Asian host, this was a very serious attack. When traffic surpasses 10Gbps, it is considered a serious enough threat to the stability of even the largest networks and the upstream telephone company has to get involved and null the fiber line. Think about how many computers were hijacked to pull this off? The average internet connection in the west can sustain data rates of 500,000Kbps. So at least 20,000 zombies were attacking us. Internet speeds outside of most western countries are a lot slower, so it is possible up to 50,000 zombies were involved.

Only someone with DEEP pockets could have rented these bots (yes, they can be rented on the black market according to our host). It is also the reason the attack subsided after 24hrs - because it costs serious money to keep renting these zombies.

Like I said, Nob0dy, is a front-man for someone who doesn't want c-band becoming popular...the same people attacked us when this forum first launched and we were attacked many times in between, but we weren't knocked out completely, so most of you didn't even notice. You can draw your own conclusions, but there are only two realistic suspects.

I think the most recent attacks were due to some people not being happy with being labeled as rats here.

If you read transcripts of satellite cases, the providers admit to having paid informants in this hobby, so no doubt there are rats. The question is whether there is any legitimate proof against some of them. Boss, I think you should just post what evidence you have against them so that people can decide for themselves if they are problematic individuals or not.

As for the ips, we are going through Cloudflare, so only Cloudflare ip addresses are logged. This information is public anyway:

Wow, finally gone....What a piece of Poo Poo, and just when a couple of friends came up with a good idea, send him on a Miami bus ride, (it starts in Seattle or the city/town furthest West from his location) then a fake bail ticket is created, he is jumped on by a couple of bail enforcement agents and sent to Seattle's sheriff's adult correction's holding tank, then the typo's in the bail ticket are found and get corrected, he is then sent via a sheriff's transport bus, county to county, state to state till he arrives in Miami, then the error is found that the name was misspelled and he was the wrong guy, he is released in Miami to find his own way back home.
