MONTREAL — Michael Babcock says he was just trying to buy some drinks for a bartender and a nude dancer at Montreal's Stock Bar in April 2012 when he was violently thrown out.
Now, the retired Ontario lawyer is suing the gay bar for almost $1 million, citing "pain, suffering, inconvenience and psychological anxiety."
He told a hearing at Montreal's courthouse this week that, while standing at the bar paying for the drinks, an unidentified employee told him to get out.
"When (Mr. Babcock) asked what he had done ... he was taken to a door at the other end of the bar," according to the lawsuit. "(The employee) shouted an obscenity and threw the complainant onto the pavement."
Babcock said he fractured his arm and dislocated his shoulder in the altercation and estimates his damages at $990,000.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
Co-owner Steven Botugno denied any responsibility, even calling into question whether the incident took place in his bar.
"It may have happened, but somewhere else," he said, adding that no complaint was ever filed with the police."

Training would be difficult but not impossible.....Catch them while they're law students, they wouldn't be as fat.

Catching them is one thing but how to hold on to a greased pig would be difficult.
