How do I get 8PSK channels in FTA mode? I have the module installed and connected correctly but I can't get any 8PSK on 87w, 99w, 103w, etc, all are Ku band. I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance.

You will most likely have to update the tp's under most of the sat's in the list. Either within the stb or with the editor. Example below...first image default tp list under 87W. Second image is where the first two and the forth were updated going by what was listed in lyngsat. And via I didn't make any mistakes. May have to leave the modulation set at auto or play around with the modulation settings on some. Seems some tp's are set at 3/5 if I read it right and there is none listed in the setup menu to choose from. Software for these stb's are old and outdated. Safe to say there may even be some fta birds listed that are no longer being used. If you wish to update the sat. name you will have to use the editor from my read as there is no option to do so through the stb.
Fyi you are replying to threads that are several years old and out dated.

It may also be possible to update one in the list and delete the remaining. Then use one of the search options in the stb to see if the remaining will scan and fill in automatic. Something like a blind scan. If it don't work you can just do a factory reset to get the default lists back.

Thanks, I'll look into that tomorrow. Which BIN file should I use? I have several that I downloaded. Also, I have nfusion loader 131 file as well. Not sure what the loader file is for though. One more thing, is there more detailed instructions on how to use the editor? This is my first experience with this receiver, so I'm a newbie with this receiver. So any and all help is greatly appreciated. This seems like it would be a decent box if I can be able to get all available FTA Channels, not so much dish net, etc. Mainly FTA.

131 is the loader to load a file via null cable. Never tried it as I always load via usb. Only 4 files that I know of for this stb...
Factory...1.016
v1.3sR_24
v1.3sR_25
v1.3sR_27
All should work for true fta although any editing of satellite info would most likely have to be done through the stb with the first three. The last one _27 can be edited through the stb or with the editor. As far as I know there is no guide on how to use the editor unless I missed it.

I have all 4 files, but file 27 i found is 1_3sR27F_July12_2010. Not sure it's the same or not. It doesn't seem to have any means to edit satellite info, just TP's.

They are one and the same. Reading my above post I wasn't all that clear. With file 24, 25 and 27 one can only update, delete or change the tp info and that is about it. Any other sat. editing would have to be done through the editor which only works with 27. If you do create an updated sat. file and you factory reset it will return to default and you will have to reload the updated sat. file again.
