Clone or Original? Do I need to load files?

I bought a used V4 pro. It has the "Made in China" on the back of the remote. The green sticker is "Pass"
Been so used to my Viewsat so I'm a little lost.

It's a clone and it has the only file you can ever use already in it.

Yep it is a clone but you can use the V7 allchunk file on it.

Trust me, I don't want to touch it. I wanted to know if I needed to load firmware on it. If I don't, great! I'll hook it up today. Thanks all.

From what is see from your pic, it only has factory file and if you only want to use it for true fta then you dont need any firmware.
If you are going to use it for iks then you need to load the V7 allchunk file.

I got one of these from same seller and yes it comes with the factory file only. You need to load the allchunk file.

Excellent! All done. I'll delete all the channels now so I can scan north and south.

Got it all running. Had some issues with all my sats hooked up but so far I'm impressed. I love the guide. It's like watching my Bell subscription. The servers load super fast. Can't seem to get 1080i working but 720p is working fine.
