some info on manaual scan, please

hi guys
under Installation........Manual scan.....i had read somewhere to set the Transmission to Turbo QPSK.....is that correct or do you just leave it under DVBS QPSK......

ALSO....i have read in set up .....that when you go to NETWORK SETTING ....you have the DHCP AND STATIC page....and that at least one of the lines under DHCP should be lite up......mine are all in light ink.....nothing standing out......Static is all lite up.....???

Can someone explain these 2 to me.......thks

jus leave it at DVBS QPSK..DHCP is the prefered setting...if the page is populated..you have a stable internet connection..

Hi Kidw,
so the DHCP page has settings on it but not
really in bold print.......and i can't acess the any of the settings.........then i am what ....no hooked up....
I have re-entered my data for the network setting many times....following the setup up page and i am not getting connected....i have rebooted all....modem included....nada.......
Another thing....to me this seems to be a little backwards....on my old receiver if i had done a factory reset.....i would have had to reload the bin file......yet on this rec. when i check the version info i see it there.....don't understand that...all this factory reset after loading files...

all system restore does is wipe your settings and scan
have you tried make2dream yet like I said?

i did try the make2dream........seems like the file i downloaded is short something.......can't find this exc. file to change over to exe..just a notepad with machine language.....??

jI'm pretty sure the instructions explain to get the hd make2dream and replace certain parts with the t5 one

I could be wrong but I doubt it...lol
