Manny has been criticized for his singing. I have heard a few of his songs (including Sometimes When we Touch) and I have to say this. He has good pitch recognition abilities; a good sense of rhythm; and adequate breath control which could be improved. He is no Martin Nievera, Basil Valdez, or Gary Valenciano. However, he has some natural musicality. Having pitch recognition skills is essential to learning how to sing. With persistent training, he could one day become a much better singer.

With his popularity in the Philippines, whatever he says, sing, or do, the masses would embrace it. This song in particular would hit the charts.
