Problem with Sonicview 8000 USB

Just bought a used SV 8000 it had bin 417p I did factory reset and loaded bin HD20 downloaded fine hooked up my old SV lan re booted system showed network adapter connected entered private server info and it would DNS Fail tried to start all over but now USB does not work, Downloaded the RS232 downloader but my windows 8 does not recognize RS232 to USB adapter it cant assign port 1, I don't have the driver for the adapter... Any suggestions?

I was able to connect finally but I still can't use the USB

usually when dns fails that means you have to reboot your router shout down your sv8000hd on the back switch reboot your router and then turn your sv8000 on and see if that solves your problem

It connected its up and running just the USB is not working

It connected its up and running just the USB is not workingits great that its up friend,just when you need to reload a file,just use the null cables that came with your receiver.....

As stated at the beginning of the original post I have windows 8.1 and my USB to Rs232 will not communicate with port 1 on the loader
