Updating EPG

Hi guys, my remote broke and I bought a universal one but I didn't realize it didn't have a favourite button on it. The remote works great besides that. Is there any other way to update the guide with out going into the guide and pressing the fav button?

Any help with be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

If you want guide to fill in use channel 239 for a couple minutes.

Thanks, but it didn't seem to work for me is there another channel I can leave it on? If I recall correctly there were two channels you could do this with but I forgot what the channels are.

I notice this is an old thread but is there a way to get the guide to populate for 91 or 82? Not getting much of a guide on these 2 sats.

That receiver never worked well with guide up North.. South is good.
