Police say several people were standing outside a townhouse at 5:50 p.m. on Thursday when another group approached and began firing.
They say five of the people standing out front were shot.
The province’s police watchdog is also investigating after it said an officer shot one of the suspects in a separate incident.
Police have identified the suspects as Akeem Bailey, 25, Clifton Vassel Youria, 29, Maurice Smith, 21 — all from Toronto — and 20-year-old Daniel Duarte-Alvarez, of Mississauga, Ont.
They are scheduled to appear in court Friday.
