Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao officially weighed in Friday at the MGM Grand ahead of Saturday night's fight at the Garden Arena.


Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao officially weighed in Friday at the MGM Grand ahead of Saturday night's welterweight championship fight at the Garden Arena.


Mayweather, the WBC and WBA welterweight champ, weighed in at 146 pounds. Pacquiao, the WBO title holder, weighed 145 pounds. Mayweather held one finger up across his chest after Pacquiao flexed while he was being weighed.

Pacquiao (57-5-2) was all smiles before making his entrance following ring announcer Michael Buffer's introduction. Pacquiao was the more popular boxer in the arena, and even stopped to take a selfie with the crowd. Pacquiao also thanked Mayweather for making the fight happen.





"The fans deserve this fight," Pacquiao said. "This is a great responsibility for me to give enjoyment to the fans. The fans deserve to have a good fight. If you're a fan of Mayweather or a fan of Manny Pacquiao, you deserve to have a good fight."






Mayweather (47-0) was booed in his home arena, where he will be fighting for the 14th time, and 11th consecutive. Mayweather was extremely serious, never once changing his stern facial expression. The pro-Pacquiao crowd never really gave Mayweather a reason to smile.


"My thing is to focus what I've got to do tomorrow," Mayweather said in a post-weigh-in interview with Jim Gray. "I've dedicated myself to the sport of boxing for over 20 years and I'm ready. I'm ready to fight."


Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, said Pacquiao would like to "set a trap" for Mayweather to throw a lot of punches so Pacquiao can use his elusiveness to counter-punch from his southpaw stance.

Maybe the Mexicans will quit crossing the border since TV in mexico is better than in the US
