I was told The MAG 254 would auto shut down about 30 minutes after the tv was turnd off.
Is this true ? If so is their a setting in the box that leaves the box turnd on ?
I ask this question because I want to time record a program with my DVD Player and I need to have the MAG box left on ?

Why don't you turn off the tv and see if it shuts down?

Why don't you turn off the tv and see if it shuts down?I heard the box shuts down automatically after the TV has been turned off for 30 minutes . I am running stranded definition . I will try that .
