Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao finally do battle Saturday evening in the main event of the $100 Mayweather-Pacquiao pay-per-view event from Las Vegas. That's the good news. There's also an undercard. That's the not so good news.
There are two fights scheduled for the pay-per-view broadcast prior to the main event, and neither fight is exactly one that gets the ol' engine revving. In the opening bout, WBO featherweight titleholder Vasyl Lomachenko will defend against Gamalier Rodriguez, presented by Top Rank, Pacquiao's promoter. In the second bout, super bantamweight titleholder Leo Santa Cruz moves up to featherweight for a stay-busy bout against unheralded/unknown Jose Cayetano, presented by Mayweather Promotions.
The pay-per-view starts at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. Top Rank usually has an online option to watch preliminary fights online before pay-per-view broadcasts, but as they are not the lead promoter for this fight, they do not have their usual live stream. There is no legal live streaming option for this fight, either free or internet pay-per-view.
Here are the fights schedule for the untelevised portion of the card:
Chris Pearson (11-0, 9 KO) vs Said El Harrak (12-2-2, 7 KO), junior middleweights, 10 rounds
Jesse Hart (16-0, 13 KO) vs Mike Jimenez (17-0, 11 KO), super middleweights, 10 rounds
Andrew Tabiti (9-0, 9 KO) vs Anthony Caputo Smith (15-4, 10 KO), cruiserweights, 8 rounds
Brad Solomon (24-0, 9 KO) vs Adrian Granados (13-3-2, 9 KO), welterweights, 8 rounds
