I have had the dreamlink t5 for about a year now. I have a DP34 switch, a super hd 500 dish (I believe that is the name on it) But my problem is that the dreamlink will not power the lnb's. I saw on here somewhere that ebay has a dish that will work great. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Don't mix Dish and DTV equipment, it will only cause headaches.

If you have Dish DP LNB's then use a DP power inserter.

However you need to ID the LNB's first, if they are old style legacy LNB's then the power inserter will not do much good.

If DP digital LNB's (DP pro or have a DP logo on them) then a DPP 44 power inserter will work.

If you have to set your LNB type to standard then the power inserter will not work.

If you set your LNB type to OCS-DP or Dish then it will work.

A standard LNB type uses a DC voltage to switch between the transponder polarity's, the DC power inserter will affect this switching.

A LNB that uses OCS-DP or Dish, does not use the voltage switching so the DC power inserter will not affect the LNB switching between the transponders.
