http://i0.wp.com/www.boxingnews24.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/1-05-1.jpg?resize=720%2C446By Jon Jencitis: With the the fact that Manny Pacquiao is out for 9 months to a year recovering from surgery, it clearly shows that rematch between him and Floyd Mayweather Jr. won’t take pace before Floyd has his 49th and “Final” fight. This predicament is perfect for Floyd as he can give Manny a rematch and at the same time beat former heavyweight world champion Rocky Marciano’s record 49-0 record, because he will beat a fully fit Manny Pacquiao. This begs another question who’s next for Mayweather? Anir Khan? Migiel Cotto?
I believe it will be Amir Khan. Khan’s only weapon that can do any damage to Floyd is his speed, Other than that Floyd out classes him.

Floyd will win the fight and dominate the fight as he has done throughout his career. Why Amir thinks this will be different is unknown to most people, if not all.
Khan will start off rapid and try to overwhelm Mayweather, but it won’t last long as his shots will be ineffective to a large degree, and if Floyd lands a peach over a straight right hand it could even KO Khan. This fight is in my opinion a bad fight for Khan to take because when he loses where does he go next? I predict a late stoppage for Floyd if this fight were to take place, id say a 10th or 11th round KO.
Cotto is another option at 154lbs, but this fight is a nothing fight for Floyd. Yes, Cotto is world class fight in his own right, but Floyd won’t fight him again. I think Floyd would want to shut Amir up and show him the true upper echelon of boxing. Khan and Cotto are both world class but Floyd is a different level. His next fight all depends on how Khan and Cotto do in there respective fights and with the greatest respect to Chris Algieri and Daniel Geale, fighters of Khan and Cotto’s quality should easily come through these fights relatively unscathed. But you never know with boxing which is why it is such a wonderful sport.
Whoever Floyd faces next it will be an opponent he knows he can beat, an opponent that poses as little risk as possible, which poses the question will he finish 50-0?. Because once he dispatches Amir he will then set his sights on the rematch v Pacquiao and he will be in prime position to win again and take Marciano’s record. Its just a matter of who he wants to beat because whether you like him or hate him he is a genius in the ring no doubt about it.

Depending on the severity of Pac`s tear it will be a lot longer than 1 yr before he`s fight ready. 4-6 mnths before rehab begins if he has it done now. He`ll be 38-39 yrs old before he`s in fighting shape if the shoulder responds normally to treatment.....he looked old, slow and ineffectual enough now....IF they fight again it will be a bigger bust and a bigger rip than this one was. But they`ll still sell a ton because of a fervent fan base.

i bet next Amir Kahn..Or Bradley...Bradley will draw bigger numbers imo...But if Kahn beats Algieri on may29th..Kahn is hunting him down..If Cotto defeats Daniel Geale June 6th...hmmm..interesting...Cotto will draw very decent numbers...highly doubt PBF wud take that chance..jmo..Soooo what does Floyd Mayweather do??...

Who will be Floyd Mayweather’s final foe?

WE NOW know Manny Pacquiao is no longer the man to push Floyd Mayweather.
Five years ago, things may have been different. But as it stands a rematch would be a complete waste of time.
Mayweather has made it clear he has one fight left in his 48-0 career, and if boxing wants to be taken seriously again — and if Mayweather is truly as great as he says he is — that fight should be against Gennady Golovkin.
Golovkin has been described as the new Mike Tyson, a brutal Kazakh pugilist who is also unbeaten in his professional career.
Golovkin’s record stands at 32 win and 0 losses, with 29 wins by knockout. It is the highest KO percentage in middleweight history.
“This guy looks like a monster, a killing machine,” boxing great Roy Jones Jr said.
“Golovkin is like a young middleweight Mike Tyson.
“He’s a guy who just destroys who they put in front of him.

Mayweather would likely join the list of floored foes, but the problem is “Money” would not dare fight him.
“Mayweather doesn’t want to be knocked out in his final fight,” wrote USA Today’s Nick Schwartz.
The article also argued Mayweather would not agree to the fight because Golovkin is not a big enough name among American boxing fans.
Golovkin has said he would be willing to come down in weight to take on Mayweather or Pacquiao, so that shouldn’t be a factor. And if it were up to Golovkin’s coach Abel Sanchez, the fight would happen.
Ahead of Mayweather vs Pacquiao, Sanchez said: “If Floyd does well against Manny, maybe his intelligence will be enough to match Golovkin’s strength.
“Floyd is making $120-130m for the Pacquiao fight, but if Golovkin becomes that megastar we expect him to be and if that fight is worth $150-200m to Mayweather, he’s a heck of a smart businessman so he might take it and if he loses, it’s the last fight of his career.”

At this stage, though, Mayweather’s most likely opponent is Britain’s former two-time light-welterweight world champion Amir Khan, who said he was approached by Floyd’s manager in Las Vegas over the fight weekend.
“I think the fight is there,” Khan, who at 28 is 10 years Mayweather’s junior, told BBC Radio Five Live’s Sportsweek.
“I spoke to Len Ellerbe, his (Mayweather’s) manager, I saw him in the media room and he came over to say, ‘Hi ... he’s ready when you are.’
“I think Mayweather’s team are wanting the fight. But then, on the other hand, I’ve even spoken to Manny’s team and they said the same thing. (They said), ‘Look Amir, I think it’d be good to have the fight between you and Manny next.’
“So I’m in a position where I could fight either guy but I think Mayweather’s the one I want, because I really believe I have his number.”
The problem is Khan has said Ramadan would prevent him from fighting in September, because of the dietary restrictions.
Other potential Mayweather opponents include Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez, who have already stepped in the ring with Floyd and failed.

Floyd will most probably fight Bradley or khan
Golovkin is a middle weight at 165 lbs,,, I don't think Floyd wants any part of that at 38 years old

Floyd can bring him down to 154 and beat the chit out of him. G will just get tire of missing punches while Floyd will pick him apart. I assure you of that. GGG will go down for the $$$$.

we`ll never know my friend because PBF will never ever even think of getting in the ring with Golovkin. At 38 or 39 yrs old the last thing he wants to look at is a younger, hungry, power puncher because although PBF beat Pac handily you could clearly see his days of "punching the chit" out of anybody are behind him. IMO Golovkin would and could KO Floyd @ 7th or 8th rnd.

scream away LOL...........
