Yes, I looked into Sonicview 8000 HD FAQs and Guides, however, this were not helpful to me,that is the reason i asked for help. i always look around before asking for help. ( example ) after factory re-set,what file do i need to install and where to find that file. please help if you can. Thanks

friend if it doesn,t take it with the usb try loading it with the null cables that came with your receiver, but if you want to do a factory reset you then have to enter the receiver settings for each sat your pointing too,and re-scan the sat for channels and then you,ll need to find a private server to get a code to connect to the server and watch tv.....

Rule has always been power the sv off via the back switch before unplugging or plugging the iHub back in to the sv. If you are still looking to take the stb back to factory the files can be located in the link below...along with the serial (null) loader and the system clean out file. One thing to keep in mind these sv are old and probably because of there age can become fubar easily. Reading a lot of posts and threads over the years and from my read seems out of the three sv units the 8000 is a little more fickle than the other two with the file loads...so I wouldn't load no more files than necessary.

One more option is a force load via usb...I have done it a number of times on my 360P without issue but as I said earlier the 8000 seems to be a bit more fickle with file loads so there is always a chance of the stb getting locked up...never tried it with the 8000 but some seem to have done it on the 8000 without problems. Two links below with guides on doing a force load...first one is a combo guide and the second is a little more detailed and for the 360P but they should be similar. One difference I noticed was on the 8000 you hold down the menu button verses the ok button with the 360P.

This to me seems more and more like user problem not receiver problem, the 2028 no check bin will still show on the information menu has HD20E, boot loader 02.07 main software HD20E front software vB-07
Now if you had an ihub before and if you were using a serial cable null modem db9 rs232 it should work with your new wizsr1, if boat sides of the cable are female

Going by what you posted in your other thread which I've quoted above you have the correct file loaded now going by the system info skywalker999 posted above...they match exactly. Factory reset doesn't always require loading of factory files...loading of factory files may or may not fix a problem with the stb. If the only problem was missing some channels but getting others then a factory file load probably will not help.
