If your svlan was working with your other stb then sounds like that it is possible the RS232 port is not working. If you have the svlan plugged in, ethernet cable connected and power on the stb on you should see lights on the svlan...until you get the lights on your svlan you will not see adapter connect popup. I guess you could try and load a file with the loader through the RS232 port to see if it loads which should be a sign that the port is good...of coarse there is always a chance with the age of these sonicviews it won't load correctly and lock up the stb. If you just got it from a dealer then maybe best to take it back and have it checked out to see if the port is working and then hook your svlan up to another sonicview if the dealer has one to see if your svlan is working. Process of elimination I'm afraid.
