I thought I liked the V4 but I miss my VS 9000HD. This box keeps losing signal. I have to turn it off and on to get the signal back. I have 5 sats running. North going through a two 3x4 switches then port 1 and port 2 of my diseqc. Then I have port 3 going to 110. Then I have a 22khz set to on going to 129 on port 4 of the disqec and the 22khz set to off on port 4 of the diseqc. I might have to use a power inserter to boost the power to the diseqc even though its only 40 feet from the receiver. Any ideas to make my setup better?
Oh I forgot to add that all 5 lnb's are legacy ones.

I know this will help your problem, go to the wiring diagrams forum, there you will find the proper wiring setup, I read your post and it sounds to me you have some wiring issues! forum is Satellite hardware and discussions.

Your over loading the tuner. It will fail if you keep your hook up.
Look in the site link this might help

You can't use a DC power inserter on legacy LNB's, they use the +13 and +18 volt switching to go between the transponders, a DC power inserter would keep the input to the LNB at 20 volts or more, you will never switch transponder polarity's.
An externally powered legacy switch may be needed, for 5 satellites with legacy LNB's on each for this you will need a 10x4 switch, 2 inputs per LNB times 5 satellites, EMP (and others) makes these type of switches.
Or you could change out the LNB's to the standard type, this would get you into a 8x1 Diseqc 1.1 or 2.0 switch, less to go wrong.

I bought 2 powered 3x4 switches today(13 and 18V). I want to see how they work. I'll report my findings. My south bird seems to be fine now with the new emp 2x1 switch.
