Hey guys! I am new to this forum and my first post is to get your guys' opinion on something. So I am currently living in Canada and have two iks receivers which are working well for now but lately I have been hearing of the iks stuff stopping in the near future due to security changes. So I started looking at future options and came across IPTV and it seems very appealing with some resellers offering Canadian and American HD channels that I don't have from my iks subscription. Now what I was wondering is, how is the quality of these HD channels on IPTV? Does it feel HD (not just stretched out SD)? Currently, the HD channels on my IKS (while limited in my opinion) are very good quality and nice. For IPTV, I have excellent internet speeds so thats not something that would affect quality. I am just debating on whether to continue my iks subscription or jump onto the IPTV bandwagon or maybe I will do both but the only thing holding me back on buying an IPTV is whether the quality of the HD channels and other channels is worth it? Thanks a lot guys. Glad to be part of this community!

If you go with NFPS one payment gets you access to both their IKS and IPTV service (the IPTV is free and open right now).. The IPTV service only has a few HD channels thought.. this may or may not change when it goes to the paid model. It has little canadian content though as well..
Vibe TV, voodoo, and ipguys have very similar lineups (for english channels) and have a decent amount of the bell lineup and I believe most are 720 HD. not entirely sure with voodoo and ipguys.
your best bet I say is to try them out for a month to see which one is the best for you, then go with a yearly donation to save a bit, if that matters to you...
Last time i checked, voodoo doesnt have their EPG up and running, thats a dealbreaker for me.. having ~500 channels and not knowing whats on makes me feel like its 1987 except in 1987 you could still go to channel 2 to see whats on..

Not really sure about the quality of IPTV but have seen the channel line up which doesn't really impress me unless your into international stuff.Lots of this stuff is already free with XBMC,Mobdro and USTV Now.I know I won't jump on IPTV,I don't think they have a guide for it but I maybe wrong. If your living in Canada perhaps you just realign your Dish from South to Northern IKS.
