Is the Receiver still works ..

I have a satzen Z500 receiver here that i dont use it for longtime, i want to know if does still works so i can start to use it back again..

it works but for how much longer is anyones guess Its a mpeg 2 rcvr and dn is switching to mpeg 4

I will use with StarOne C2 satelite so i can get brazilian channels since i will move to South america.. Do i have to download any file or something an update for the receiver, i dont remnber the last Bin file i use for an update i guess... or just hook it find the signals and is done... thx
