Man I love their announcements like this!

http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?120571-NFPS-Announcements-Thread-Only!!!!!&p=1154875#post1154875

All those insinuations but they don't have the nads to actually to call the offenders out. If they named the individuals then people would know who to stay clear of. They have also never explained how the stolen codes exist to begin with. Only 3 ways possible that I can imagine:

1 - the site has been hacked and somebody has access to the database storing the info

2 - somebody on the inside is leaking them for profit

3 - somebody was smart enough to figure out the algorithm for how they generate codes and is able to generate their own that way.

This is more about IKS codes than IPTV as they are not offering IPTV paid service yet. Seems this is happening to them quite often. Maybe they should learn how to implement better security and screen their people better instead of taking their mistakes out on the unsuspecting peep who purchases a stolen code from what is thought to be a reputable reseller. If they had any sense of customer service they could offer a deal (maybe 1/2 price) to those with the stolen codes and keep them as customers instead of banning the Mac addy 'FOREVER' (as if there wasn't a work around for that :)) but it's all about the "right now" money to them.

I'm one of those people. I would NEVER buy or support anything to do with NFPS. When they want to take it out on a customer for a reseller they supported I'm done. Trust is gone.
Just saying.

I seem to remember a similar stolen code fiasco with nfps a few years ago?

Yes, one of their own people if I recall correctly so apparently they didn't learn anything from that incident. :noidea:

then what's left??

1) is it possible that NFPS deliberately "loses" codes
to force their clients to re-buy while upping the profits??

or

2) no codes were stolen at all .. NFPS is using scare tactics
to force out the resellers and keep 100% of the sales receipts.
maximizing profits from the single sales clients.

well then they should out the culprit and stop slamming the end user. now if NFPS didn't allow resellers then it would be different but thy have resellers but they don't specify to anyone who they are. I just find it funny they have resllers, both legit and bogus but they won't say who is who
