Bit of an issue I hope someone may be able to help me out with. When I go to my menu and click on XBMC it leads to a blank screen...no add-ones show. I tried to unplug the box but it did the same thing. I am so new to this. The box was won by the wife pre loaded.

Are we supposed to guess which 'box' you are asking about? A little more information would be helpful in order for us to help you. My car won't start can someone help me? See my point?

All I know it's an Android box. Where in the settings would I find the info needed?

What's written on the box?
You can't get help from anyone unless you can provide more info about what it is you have

Usually in SYSTEM, Settings, About or Settings, system, about or something similar to that. I take it the box didn't come with any user guide or manuel or any Info on the box itself (maybe on the bottom). What does it say on the reboot screen when it powers up?

The user guide is pretty crappy. It basically goes through the set up...not any way to deal with issues that ma arise.I did locate the box. On it says Android TV box model T.

Are you sure xbmc is enabled or even installed? For the third time, you need to go into system settings from the main menu and see what's what in there and then tell us and maybe then we can help you.

what I do before I make a purchase is, research and say to myself, "What DO I have to do to get this working". But that's me. I'm not going to buy something unless I know I'm not throwing my money away. But again, that's me. I have about 15 fta boxes for sale if you're throwing $$$ around.

utube is your friend, search around here for how tops. If you can't find what you're looking for, google I hear is good too.

Whew I feel better.
