Pretty sure Zenith made the very first remote it worked off of frequencies you could shake your keys and it would change channels.24695

That's the one I remember. If you had keys they would change the channel of turn the TV off. After awhile I would shake keys just to tick my dad off.

My Dad would not let my little Brother play with his slinky, it would change the channels and turn the TV on and off, Dad thought the TV was going nuts, had two repairmen and one exchange of the TV before he saw what was going on, you could shake the slinky up and down and it would change the TV channels, let it go down the stairs and it would turn it on and off.

Bill could not find his slinky for several years, until we got a new color TV, it had a different remote................ Called Bill and Terryl..........Bill found the slinky in his toy box the next day.

we used theses converters back in the day to get pay stations on cable you could open them up and set your own channels on the high band.

That reminds me... Anyone remember "ON TV"... Lol..That first "cable" channel.. Used to go and buy the kits from Radio Shack and watch extremely grainy soft porn on that one channel...
