rearranging channels and saving channel list issue?

hello all I'm having an issue updating to a custom reorganized channel list as once I've created a channel list and try to update nothing changes the channels are in the same order as before? as I'm trying to reorganize and put the hd's in place of the sd's in order I've tried to just reorganize and save and that works but as soon as i need to power cycle the system i lose all the changes I've made so i wanted to just do a backup custom channel list just incase i need to power cyce any suggestions as to why the channel list update fails? or a work around to make a backup customized channel list? thank you in advance

I have not used my SV8000 in awhile but if I remember correctly these is a feature in the menu to show only HD channels. I know this does not answer your question but thought I would point it out.

Thanks for the reply yea I've tried that but they're all over the place and scattered was trying to kinda replace say 118 sd with the hd so everything is in order thanks tho for your help
