The cells in the bottom left look different to the ones in the top right, no? Why could that be?

It's because they're full of baby bees. They're white now, but in a few days their exoskeleton will harden up and they'll eat their way out of their home in some sort of homage to the Alien Franchise.

Sometimes there's literally too much honey for the bees to seal up, so it sits there, open to the air tempting passers by like an 80% sugar mermaid
